For the purposes of this book, I spent long months digging through the memory of all my hard drives, and beyond that... I opened boxes of memories filled with crumpled words, letters, and images yellowed by time. Sleepless nights rewinding time like an old film reel. Afternoons shut away in my small studio, the ashtray overflowing, sorting, organizing, and gazing tenderly at thousands of photos, never knowing which one I preferred. I love them all.
This book is the fruit of more than 20 years of life, of doubts, intense joys, and luminous mornings. It is the result of an intimate quest: to rediscover, in each print, the original emotion that made me press the shutter.
A tribute to all those who agreed to bare themselves before my lens, and who, in doing so, also laid me bare.
